"Revolutionizing Patient Assessment with Sitecore: Alexion's Quest for Customized Care"

Alexion aimed to create a cutting-edge web-based assessment tool to offer personalized experiences to patients with generalized myastenia gravis (gMG). The goal was to provide customized assessments for each patient, highlighting their unique needs. The platform was to produce scores based on questions, giving doctors and patients a comprehensive evaluation of the patient's condition. The assessment had to be built using Sitecore due to Alexion's IT requirements and guidelines. Initialyze was selected as the technology partner, working with a design agency chosen by Alexion, to bring the project to fruition.

During the initial planning stage, we collaborated closely with the design agency to evaluate the technical viability and complexity of various concepts. After finalizing the designs, we developed a highly accessible (WCAG AAA), responsive assessment application based on the design, using Sitecore as the CMS. We made sure that every aspect of the assessment was simple to create, translate, and maintain. The application had features such as PDF generation, a custom snowflake logo, comprehensive analysis for doctors, and integration with Alexion’s CRM. We also developed a comprehensive test plan and test strategy to ensure the assessment produced expected unique results based on the over 600+ combination of question and answers. Throughout the project, we closely collaborated with Alexion IT, providing architectural diagrams, code reviews, and ensuring compliance with all strict coding and security guidelines.
